We develop games for everyone. There are no special skills needed to have a great time. Play with or against your friends, family, co-workers or just a bunch of random people.

Welcome to BlackPawn Studio. We're dedicated to producing the very best video games, with a focus on fair play, challenging content and high resolution graphics.

Founded in 2021 by John Coones, BlackPawn Studio has come a long way from its beginnings in a small office as Digital Technologies 2000 headquartered in Niagara, Canada and then expanding to Ottawa, Canada with the new division BlackPawn Studio. When John first started out, his passion for coding, reverse engineering, providing solutions for weak digital security and creating new diverse games drove him to do intense research, and gave him the impetus to turn hard work and inspiration into to a booming global presence. We now serve customers all over the world and are thrilled to be a part of the digital realm of the video game design and development industry.

Our mission is to develop the most entertaining games with the highest graphic rendering for our customers. BlackPawn Studio takes pride in every aspect of the development of the games that we produce and release. We strive to be the leader of the pack as an innovator in the world of quality gaming. Whether you are a novice just getting started or a professional game streamer, we are committed to releasing challenging games for all.
The length of time depends on which game you are playing.
As an example, while playing Tactical Insurgence™ the play time can vary depending on the skill you have and the skill of the other players you are against. The lobbies are determined by using each players kill/death ratio. If you are a novice player you will only be playing against other player who rated similarly to you, this keeps it fair. If you are new and not very good yet, your game may only take a couple minutes. As a players skill increases the lobby they are placed in also changes to corrilate to their higher k/d. The average game play is approximately 25-30 minutes depending on the skill level of the players in the lobby and how they use their collective knowledge, and wits to out maneuver and kill the other teams, and escape the gas closing in.
Each team can consist of upto 4 members. If you are short of people to play with then you can select the game mode that suits the number of people in your lobby such as "Solo", "Duos" or "Trios", or if you choose to play one of the multiplayer mode without enough players the system will input random players with similar skill level based on your k/d ranking to make a full team for the game mode you select. If you would rather not have random players added to your pregame lobby for battle, and you feel that your experience and skills are better then others you can also choose to play a multiplayer game as a solo, making it you against all other teams.
All of the games we develop and release are printed with the age group rating on the package. We comply to the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board).
There are 7 separate ratings for games, which are as follows:
  • Everyone - All Ages
  • Everyone 10+ - Ages 10 and older
  • Teen - Ages 13 and older
  • Mature 17+ - Ages 17 and older
  • Adults Only 18+ - Ages 18 and older
  • Rating Pending - No age rating has been assigned yet
  • Rating Pending - Likely Mature 17+

    • We strongly recommend that parents know what their child is playing due to nature and content of each game. If a child is found to be playing a game such as Tactical Insurgence™ on our servers that is rated above their age group rating then that persons account may be suspended or canceled.
